Selected Graduates will join the HARMAN Finance Leadership Development Program (FLDP). This is a two:year rotational program to develop and train the future global finance leaders of the company.
Over the two:year program, the FLDP candidate will rotate through multiple Finance roles within HARMAN, starting in the Global Corporate Headquarters in Stamford, Connecticut. Through the process, this person will gain global experience, enhance their financial skills, and build an in:depth understanding of the businesses and functions within HARMAN.
This high profile participant will work closely with senior Finance leaders and the CFO as a key stakeholder directly involved with both the development plan and career path of the individual hired.
The FLDP hire will gain exposure to executives through a structured mentoring program, while also developing a strong peer and global network.
Upon completion of the two:year program, the goal and expectation is that he or she will join HARMAN in a permanent Finance role in one of HARMAN's US or global offices.
For the initial rotations, it is expected there are no direct reports. As the FLDP hire progresses through his or her assignments, he or she may acquire supervisory responsibility as part of the development program.
This role may have indirect supervisory responsibility at any time as part of project assignments
There will be four rotations throughout the program.
Rotation One: Corporate FP and A and Consolidation team
:Quarterly and monthly financial reports
:Prepare presentations to Board of Directors and Senior Management Team
:Monitor performance indicators, highlighting trends and analyzing causes of unexpected variances
:Ad:Hoc Reporting and Analysis
Rotation Two: Corporate Accounting
:Assist with models for valuation analysis.
:Prepare complex financial analyses to support accounting conclusions
:Assist with reporting compliance and account mapping reconciliations
:Assisting with the month:end close cycle under the direction of the Accounting team
:Reconcile various balance sheet accounts
Third and Forth Rotations: To be determined based on business need at the time of the rotations, but will include a rotation in a Division controlling role and at least one rotation in a location outside of the US.
:Masters in Finance, Economics or Accounting, MBA, or studying towards this in their final year
:Willingness to travel and commitment to the rotation assignments over the two year duration of the program
:Strong work ethic and principles

:Strong aptitude for finance with broad knowledge of finance
:3 to 5 years of professional experience with satisfactory performance record
:Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills
